Dave Spicer
Founder & Developer, EchoVQ
I've spent 25 years as a professional musician and 13 years teaching voice at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
I built EchoVQ because I saw the same challenge in every studio: students need feedback between lessons, but teachers can't be there 24/7. Our AI practice partner, Q, fills that gap - celebrating small wins, tracking progress, and keeping students motivated to practice.
But technology built without teacher input misses the mark. That's why I'm personally inviting experienced voice teachers to shape this platform with me.

Is this really free?
Yes. Founding Advisors get 12 months of full access at no cost. After year one, you stay free if you're actively using the platform or have students using it. Otherwise, it converts to our standard Teacher plan ($30/month) - but you can cancel anytime.
What's the catch?
No catch. We need teacher input to build something that actually works in real teaching contexts. Your expertise is the value exchange.
How many spots are available?
We're keeping the Founding Advisory Circle small so we can genuinely incorporate feedback. Once the current cohort is full, applications will close.
What if I'm not very technical?
Perfect. We want teachers of all tech comfort levels. If something is confusing, that's valuable feedback.
Can my students use it too?
Yes! Students can sign up for their own accounts. They get a 7-day free trial, then it's $20/month. (You're not required to have students sign up - that's entirely optional.)
What kind of teachers are you looking for?
Voice teachers of any style - classical, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre, pop. Private studio teachers, university faculty, choir directors. If you teach people to sing, you're a fit.
How do I give feedback?
Monthly Zoom calls with Dave, quarterly surveys, and a private Slack channel for ongoing discussion. Share as much or as little as you like.
